A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android

In Far-Out Finley, you control Finley the alien as he runs around a number grid collecting power ups, avoids meteors, a bug wizard (what?), and the infinite void, and most importantly, collect tiles that fit into certain groups of numbers.

The main objective is to find as many numbered tiles as you can before falling off the board and into space. You have full control over what number group you want to look for. You aren't penalized for your choice in any way, so feel free to play in any way you see fit.

This game is still in development, so you can expect multiple updates and announcements from now until at least the full release. For this reason, I also highly encourage all of you to tell me what you think about the game as it goes along. Talk about what you like, dislike, hope to see, and want changed.

I'm really looking forward to hearing what you all have to say, and I'm excited to use the feedback I get, combined with my own plans, to take this little grid game in the best possible direction, and I hope you'll all stay around to see where it goes!

So, with that out of the way, let's answer some questions. Keep in mind I may not be able to answer every single question I receive, but I will try to the best of my ability:

Q: What is the maximum amount of people who can play this game?

A: The game is strictly single player, and will be for any and all versions.

Q: When do you expect the final version of this game to release?

A: While I do not have a specific release date, I anticipate that the final release will come at some time around mid-2025. Despite this, I plan on releasing multiple updates between now and then, so there will be no shortage of new and exciting content to give everyone a reason to still care by the time the game releases.

Q: Will this game cost money? If so, how much will it cost?

A: While any pre-release versions will be free for anyone to download, the final release will cost money. I understand that this may be inconvenient, but at the end of the day, if I don't charge money for a game, I will not see any money from it. That said, I do not anticipate the final version costing more than ten dollars.

Q: Why numbers?

A: Originally, this  project was conceived as a word search based game, but I later decided I didn’t want it to be restricted by language barriers. It quickly became a game about having to find tiles with a given fruit on them, but that made whatever you had to find often stick out too much for there to be any challenge. Eventually I would pivot to numbers, as they were something almost everyone knew, and none of them stuck out significantly more than the others.

Q: Do I have to sign up for anything to play?

A: Nope. You do not have to sign up for anything or make any accounts outside of the ones you evidently already have to be viewing this page. Access is only a few clicks of a mouse away.

Q: How do I know I can trust you and your game?

A: I have made four games already, each better received than the last. Making games for a living has always been a goal of mine, so I will do everything in my power to make sure anything I release is of high quality, especially if I am charging money for it.
